For the first time in Pune and for the first time to such an exciting audience, I am facilitating a Leadership Course for Young Adults in May. Over the last year, I have interacted with a lot of young, high-performing, high-potential individuals at the companies where I coach the senior Leadership. And I have realized several things about these youngsters – in no particular order, they are the following:
- they learn in a totally different way that is more visual, more here and now and more interactive
- they listen to you out of choice and respect not fear or compulsion
- they are much more accepting of systems and processes and in that sense are truly the future of their companies and this country
And most of all, I realized that they would have benefited with some Leadership learnings much before they got to work – it would have helped them educate better and come to work more prepared and confident.
So I partnered with some dynamic and exciting youngsters from Protecterra, a non-profit organization engaged in raising awareness about our environment, to create a 4 day course that will be delivered at their beautiful campsite on the outskirts of Pune called the Open World Congress (OWC). It is completely synergistic to do this course at an environmentally sustainable venue – we surely need our future leaders to be good at generating profit and also being proactive in keeping our Earth healthy and whole!!
This course is designed for new graduates, for those contemplating higher studies and also for working professionals with a year or two of experience. Please share this with the bright-ies in your life – I look forward to seeing you and your friends at OWC in May
